I had to write a review to refute other 'reprinted' reviews. You may not need this if you already have a dozen knitting books, but for a beginner or intermediate knitter this book is AMAZING! I've looked through half a dozen knitting books from our local library and none have been as good as this one. I am so happy with the purchase of this book. why is she so good Plans, pictures, plans! This is the ONLY book I've seen that actually shows you how to knit with some well done pictures (4 close up color pictures of how to purl - how it looks at each stitch step - so helpful). I'm on stage now when I knit and purl, but what is yarn? Am I separating correctly? What is the cable attached to? My left turn doesn't look right - HELP! IT'S ALL IN THE BOOK folks! EVERYTHING IN THE BOOK, in the PICTURES - so helpful. So if you're looking for help getting to the next step in knitting (or even starting from the WHOLE BEGINNING), I hope you get this book over other stitch books. I think you will be very satisfied.
