I took a Crucial P5 NVMe SSD and put it in a Ugreen USB drive enclosure. Neither of the two perfectly working Windows 10 machines recognized the disk, even in old-fashioned DOS mode with the diskpart command. I then popped the Crucial SSD into the Ineo case I'm reviewing here and it worked fine right away. Both machines I mentioned earlier took over immediately. I've seen CrystalMark speeds in excess of 1000MB/s. In a very important practical test, this Ineo housing moved 3 HD films with a total size of around 25 GB in around a minute at around 800 MB/s. Although 800 MB/s is less than the advertised 10 Gb/s, we shouldn't expect the actual results to match the benchmarks. 800 MB/s is still pretty fast. The speed of heat generation is indeed a disadvantage of this case. Despite the thermal pad and heat sink, it heats up quite quickly. The problem with the 10 gigabit revolution in hard drive and network speeds is that we haven't learned how to stay cool at this speed. Anyway, I'm very happy with this case.
