Review on 🚘 Chevy Grille Emblem for Sale: All-Sales 96183C by Eric Cooper

I have to say I found this very disappointing. This is a very cheap design. The only reason I'm not giving it a star is because it's still better than Chevy's plastic and aluminum foil efforts. The aluminum it is made of is soft. The instructions warn against over-tightening the screw during installation as you will strip the threads from the emblem. It should say just hand tighten it during installation. Use a socket wrench and it will strip the threads with VERY LOW torque. It doesn't help that the screws I received were slightly oversized. Because of this, it was very difficult to tighten the bolts and not remove the damn thread. I ended up using Loctite and hand tightening it as best I could. Apart from the growing annoyances, I can still give 3 or 4 stars here. However, the cover is also very cheap. The coating already has scratches and a chip on the edge since I mounted it. The scratches are very small and not visible from afar, but it's brand new and very annoying. Seriously, if you're going to sit on this thing, take some heavy towels with you and always lay it face down on it. From other reviews, I got the distinct impression that the manufacturer had quality control issues. Someone gets a great product, and someone gets something secondary.
