Review on Canoodles Tulip Abstract Needlepoint Kit by Amber Perez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Just "good " for me, but probably most people will like it.

I really wanted to like it. I was looking for something simple so I could practice sewing without doing anything after a long hiatus. If you don't care about being really accurate (which has a lot to do with the needle), then there's nothing wrong with that. I think the main problem is that it's a drawn canvas with curved lines, which would be easier to be really good if there was a chart too. If the pattern was just geometric with straight lines, it wouldn't be a problem for a perfectionist. This is a beautiful pattern. I only gave it "good", 3 stars because it has some issues for me. I could give 4 stars but that would mean "I like". Most may like it. This requires the use of 6 strand threads. Thus, each mesh has a large size. also good for me as I wanted to use it for practice. But when each stitch is large, each stitch also appears more clearly as a single stitch, requiring even more careful evenness. Also, the thread is not shared and organized in any way. However, it is a very pretty yarn, great colors and doesn't take long to style yourself. So unless you're a perfectionist, you'll probably love this piece. Otherwise, you might prefer to also have a pattern to follow, and maybe use a canvas that doesn't require 6-ply threads. Pros: Nice colors - Painted canvas - Attractive pattern - Probably great for those who aren't that into it. Perfectionist Cons: Difficult to get the right result due to the lack of a chart - Threads are not organized - 6-threaded threads have more flaws than some people will be happy with
