Review on Water Purifier: iSpring RCC7AK UV Filtration Remineralization Sterilizer by Erik Peterson

I bought this system in February 2018, I wanted to wait a bit to see how it works before writing a review. I have experience with water quality and am a bit of a water snob so I had very high expectations for the quality and water produced. Installation was great, they include everything you need to install on your existing hardware. It attaches to a cold water corner stop for your sink, they have a nice brass tee that adjusts to what you have under your sink, either 3/8 or 1/2. It includes a check valve so you can easily shut off the filtration system for maintenance or carriage replacement. I really enjoyed being a plumber. I'm very careful about how I pack, and yet it only took about an hour or so. I bet you could get the job done in 30 minutes if you were in a hurry. Parameters: My tap water has somewhere between 250 and 400 ppm dissolved solids (TDS). This is fairly normal for Southern California municipal water. However, many substances are dissolved in the water, including lead, arsenic, chloramine and trace chemicals. Ph from the tap is about 7.8. Coming out of the reverse osmosis membrane before it hit the alkaline cartridge I got a TDS of around 9-14ppm. It's pretty incredible. the total alkalinity of this system was 8.8! ideal alkaline water. the mineral content was also high, around 40-60 mg/l carbonate hardness and 60 mg/l total hardness. That means perfectly mineralized and alkaline water, free from chemicals, heavy metals or harmful contaminants. The taste, as you can imagine, is incredible. I use it for brewing beer, my friends can't believe the quality of my beer, the secret is in the water. I use it to make kombucha with similar results. I use it to fill my aquariums, African cichlids need a high pH value. Finally, iSpring's customer service is impeccable. I bought a replacement cartridge and had some issues, customer service resolved my issue quickly and didn't cost me a dime to fix it.
