First of all I love square pins and I was really excited when Addi released her version. I find that square needles are more comfortable on the hands and I get a more even and much better stitch definition with square needles. Square Addi Rocket needles are good needles and the edges of the square needle are slightly rounded rather than rectangular. The extra texture of the needle keeps stitches from slipping off the needle, making it ideal for beginning knitters. However, depending on the yarn used, this texture will also grip the yarn and prevent the work from slipping down the needles without major tugging or tugging. Really slippery and superwash yarns would be good choices for these needles, but I've had trouble using these needles on alpaca/cotton blends. needles. Also, the needles are sharp, but not as sharp as the Hiya, Chiaogoo, or abandoned Collage square. I like Addi Rocket 2 plaid, but only with certain types of yarn. My favorite needles of all time (the ones I use the most) are collage square needles.
