First, if you're looking for something like Bounty or Brawny, go ahead. I've been using these paper towels for about 7 months now and I really like them. They're as good as Scott's paper towels, so sometimes, depending on the size of the mess, you need more than one bounty or brownie. It doesn't bother me personally. I love that they're made from bamboo, a renewable resource that grows a hell of a lot faster than trees. I draw miniature soldiers. They are AMAZING for cleaning my brushes. I don't know how well they do in the garage with some mechanical stuff (oil, grease, etc) but they're perfect for most things around the house and camping. I definitely recommend them.
