Attachment - 90 Jeep Grand Wagoneer 360 V8

If you want a 2150 that just bolts on - adjust the idle screws and then go - this carb isn't the one you need on the Jeep 360 app, it's just 2100 with small jets. However, it can be used for larger engines, but you need to do a few things first. #1 You need to remove the cap - remove the float - remove the two jets and drill out. Your old injectors from your original carburetor will not screw into this carburetor. The themes look very similar, but so different that they don't work. Out of the box, the ones supplied don't leak enough fuel for a 360 V8. It will work as is and idle, but on the highway it will be a big dog. I set mine to 0.55 and that's enough, but I still think it's a bit small. .57 is probably what you need. I don't know how big you could go with the venturis this fake has, but you are limited by that bottleneck. #2 I had to move the accelerator pump rod and put it back into the top rod hole to stop some idle oscillating. #3 I also drilled a new hole in the throttle linkage to attach the cruise control cable and finally #4 I had to grind down the end of the kickdown gear bracket on this carb - remove the slotted pulley and then reassemble. Use of original parts. At the end, a small hole has to be drilled to insert the pin so that the kickdown stays on the linkage. This still keeps the old kickdown bracket closer to the inside of the carb, which just hangs around, but I used it to install a recoil spring that now moves forward instead of backward. Remember that this carb is pretty simple. It won't have altitude compensation, but there is an electric choke. If you have an old carb you can steal some parts like the fuel inlet adapter as well as the heater tube adapter that comes out of the inlet on the back of the electric choke and you can get it working. In short, especially if you have an original carburettor, you can get it running when your old one is beyond repair - or you need a driver while you fuss and restore your original. I didn't have to change anything on the setting that would prevent me from going back to the original factory setting if I decided it wasn't a carb for me. Much luck!
