I always have dry hands/skin and use lotion all the time. Thought I'd try that and see if it makes a difference. I wasn't a fan of tin - just because I'm used to using a pump or squeeze tube - but tin is actually a pleasure to use. The smell is not overpowering, but pleasant and not too strong. I really feel like this cream works better than any other lotion I use (Polite, Dove, Golden Bond) - it's not greasy or oily but your skin feels great once it's applied. The lotion is almost like a paste (not too thick) - so you just open the jar and I take a very small amount (it doesn't take much) and apply it to my face and hands. You don't have to use too much - it spreads easily and I can always find enough product to apply to my face and hands with just a small swipe. The tin, again, was initially off for me and I've avoided it in the past because of the tin, but I really like the tin - it's easy to open and close, I just put it on and push a little on top and closes. (do not twist). Another nice feature of the tin paste is that you can put it in a small portable container for office/car or travel.
