We have been using an expensive name brand meat thermometer for many years. But it doesn't warn us when the meat is done! So we decided to try this remote thermometer. We love it and we will never come back! PROS: Beautifully packaged, I would feel great as a gift. TWO probes to control 2 types of meat at the same time. Accurate - within 1 degree of our expensive non-remote thermometer. Remote Control - As mentioned, this allows the chef to communicate while cooking instead of just tending to the grill. Nice loud signal when the meat is done and our grilled beef and chicken came out perfect! CONS: Another tip for use: do not pull strings over other food like we did in the picture. It is very difficult to turn corn! It also requires a total of 4 AAA batteries, which I must have overlooked when reading the description. All in all, this is going to be our new way of grilling and I think my dad needs one for his birthday (pssst, don't tell my dad).
