Review on 🔦 RTSU Rechargeable Touch Light Stick Anywhere Led Night Lamp - Touch Sensor Switch, Stepless Dimmer, Last Setting Memory, Built-in Battery Powered - Warm White Light. by Evan Calvert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well diffused light is compact, well designed and rechargeable. (Installation tip at the end of the review)

Pros: • It is rechargeable. Forget changing the battery. Uses the now almost ubiquitous micro USB connector. • The matte finish provides a wide, diffused light. • Very accurate stepless brightness control with memory. • Can be used 3 ways: hanging, standing alone or on double sided foam tape • It's beautiful! Some other lanterns of this type are functional but ugly. Not this one. Clean and simple lines suit any interior. Disadvantages: • Touch switches. You have to be careful when touching it or you'll miss the sweet spot and end up bumping into it. • A matte coating diffuses the light, but also reduces its brightness. I've been using it for a month now, installed on the stove. It was used at maximum settings for a few minutes a day and stayed light for about 3 weeks. Enough light for cooking. After 4 weeks it was clearly not that bright anymore so I charged it again. Charging took 2 hours. I didn't want to resort to the foam tape method of attachment for fear that the light would end up getting into my scrambled eggs. I used a countersink to make 3 holes in 3 round areas of the mounting plate. The plastic is the thinnest here. (You can see them in the photo). 3 small pan head screws were used to attach the panel to the wood cabinet above the stove. All this so that the screws do not stick out and interfere with the installation of the lamp. With a very short anti-clockwise turn, the lantern can be easily removed.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
