My husband had a colleague who used one of these every day. After stealing a few cups of coffee and feeling utter coffee envy, my husband decided to buy one for himself. It turned out to be the best coffee maker for the job. It boils one cup at a time, is easy to use, leaves no mess and takes up almost no space. He is very happy with the purchase. We've had it for a few months now and with almost daily use it's holding up very well. My husband reports that it still works just as well as it did when he got it. I have a traditional coffee maker at home and my husband says he likes the way this coffee maker makes his coffee taste better (although he might just not like the way I make coffee!). Be sure to purchase additional filters when ordering. Buying a set of additional filters will last a very long time. Overall I highly recommend this product. We're not coffee snobs, but my husband enjoys a good cup of coffee. And he says it's his favorite method!
