They are beautifully made, stylish in design and work great. Exactly what I was looking for and very happy with the purchase. I'm picky and quite critical of form and function - I love them and consider them a gift. They come in a lovely box with a nice matching spoon for scooping sea salt and whole peppers. ONE YEAR UPDATE: I use them daily to cook and flavor every meal (they sit over the stove), I use peppers with every salad, I use them at the table. They are perfectly preserved. Customers seem to either love it or hate it - maybe a quality control issue? Anyway, mine are fine and I expect them to last - no mechanical issues.
