Purchased about a week ago. The first thing I noticed was that the blade had a crack in the steel. So one of the inspectors must have been having a bad day because it was visible from about 18 inches away. I almost sent it back but the inconvenience of running back to send everything is annoying. My husband went through a piece of jewelry with a Dremel tool. .It has sharpened the ridges. I tried it on a pumpkin that I cleaned down to the glass. I hope it continues to work for me. If not, next time I will look for another brand. But so far it's working fine.
