No bells nor whistles. The advertised slot for phones doesn't really work for most applications. The slot is too thing for any phone with a case, and who doesn't use a case on their phones these days. I didn't try to use the cable management option, it seemed like a fairly cheap sticker. I just wanted the monitor stand, and it works well in that aspect. The material is an MDF wood, and the fasteners are aluminum. I don't expect it to last forever, but It should last a couple years. In hindsight, I wish I would have bought the one with the shelf for a little added support, but this will do fine. Also, I should have measured my desk, to ensure it would accommodate both the stand and my desk mat.
