Much better quality than the ones I've seen from China
Still made in Japan and much better quality than most. However, the plastic is starting to rear its ugly head - the thimble is plastic, not metal. The quality is much better than what I've seen from China. Not as good as the Starrett, but half the price (the Starrett 216M series is still made in the USA).
