This is exactly what I was looking for.

I'm a writer and I use flash drives a lot. I also have devices that need to be charged often. What I like best is that I can either use the USB port when my computer is on, or use the AC plug when my computer is off. When I need to use it, whether it's USB or power, every port is "off" until I want to use it to charge a device or download something to a flash drive. I attach it with an adhesive strip. I also have a cord holder at the end of my desk to hold 6 inch cords. BTW someone said in the reviews that you can't turn it off, but you don't press it to turn it on or off, you hold it for a second.
