Review on Braun HM5100WH MultiMix Mixer White by Darryl Wheeler

We cook and bake a lot in our house, especially in the winter. It's always nice to have an extra mixer as we have several novice bakers at home. I got it as a replacement for one of the children. HOW IT IS MADE It comes in a box. There is a fold out guide, a base, two sets of mallets and a cloth bag for storage. The center button ejects the mallets. ON/OFF SWITCH The switch is located on the bottom of the handle so you cannot accidentally turn it off. STIRRER I'm used to metal whisks. They're not all metal, they have plastic heads. Even bread dough hooks have plastic heads. LINE The line runs axially and is about 60 inches long, give or take a few inches. PERFORMANCE This is a decent mixer for cake batter and finer mixing. I tried making cookies with this blender, even at 10 it was difficult. It's not BAD, but over time I see that it doesn't last as long with plastic heads. WHO WILL LIKE THIS? This blender is designed for those who make cakes and simple meals from time to time. I just don't like bread. For heavier mixing, I would use a stand mixer. It's also great for making soaps, lotions, and other homemade cosmetics. This would be a great use for this blender. BOTTOM LINE For basic blending or homemade makeup, this blender would be great. As for the whole mix, I don't think there's power, strength or longevity in it. MY RATING IS THREE STARS. I'm rating this in terms of a versatile blender. If you prefer to use it to make homemade beauty products, or bake and mix light to medium, it's five stars. I plan to either incorporate this into my soap/homemade skincare kit or give it to one of the kids who bake cakes and lighter stuff from time to time.
