Review on Mayton Spring Foundation Simple Assembly by Erika Martinez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to assemble and feels very strong

This box spring was easy to assemble and seems pretty solid. I placed the 5 frame parts on a flat surface for assembly and first loosely assembled all carriage bolts. I then quickly checked each inside corner with a small carpenter's square to ensure the box spring was assembled at a right angle before tightening all the screws. If you don't have a square, you can use a hard case or other household item that you think is fairly square (90 degrees on at least one corner). I also made sure each long side component lines up well with each end component. If you screw on the side panel a little crookedly (crooked, crooked, etc.), this can make it difficult to assemble the cover. I just adjusted them by eye the last time I put them on and everything was fine. The cap spring came with a small stamped steel wrench to tighten the carriage bolts, but I think using a standard hat wrench or ratchet and socket would make this task much easier. pull down. If you don't have these tools, you can certainly use the wrench they send in the hardware kit. After the five frame parts were in place, I inserted all the spring plates into the slots provided on the side rails of the frame. I then screwed them to the frame with the supplied screws and a cordless drill/driver. You can use a #2 Phillips screwdriver, it will take a little longer and give you a good hand workout. Finally, I mounted the supplied cover. I noticed that some people in the comments said it was difficult to install. I had no trouble putting sheets on the mattress. I think setting the components mostly square and flat will make this part easier. There was a lanyard-like device that I was able to pull tightly around the lid's "skirt" after installation. This will ensure that the cover will not easily slip off over time. We installed it under my daughter's Full XL memory foam mattress and it was quite firm and didn't squeak or make any noise when in place.

Pros
  • STRONG AND DURABLE: The base supports heavier mattresses, including memory foam and latex, and increases the lifespan of the mattress by preventing sagging
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
