I really like these shoes. I wear them all day, almost all day, about nine months a year. The wool is warm and even slightly water repellent, although the open back makes it uncomfortable in deep water or snow, and it's not waterproof. They are ideal for outdoor activities such as watching children play as they are very warm. All my friends wanted a pair because my feet were warm and hot while their feet were cold during late fall or early spring games. I'm not a fan of slippers, so I only wear them on the street. They last a long time. My loveliest pair is three years old and now I'm buying a new pair that is five or six years old. My daughters both have shoes and wear them all the time. Most dirt, spills, etc. can be easily wiped off the wool. The cork outsole follows the shape of the foot and only gets better with age. I have several friends and relatives who bought them because they really like mine.
