I bought this to solve my wife's problem with the mop head not staying upright while drying. Velcro was my first thought, but in the past I've had no luck with velcro sticking so well to certain surfaces. So I tried using these metal discs by attaching them to the mop head and attaching a bar magnet to the handle. The magnet wasn't strong enough to attract the metal disk, but worse, the disk fell off after one try. I let it dry for 24 hours after sticking it on the mop so it wasn't a problem. I have since solved the problem by putting stronger magnets on the mop head and letting them attract the metal handle. It probably should have been like that at first, but I thought the handle was aluminum. Spring.
