Shelf Life: Computers and Tablets

Chromebooks have a "shelf life" meaning that Google stops updating after a certain amount of time. When I received the machine, part of the installation process was getting Google to update it. This happened, but then a message appeared that the machine would not receive updates after September 2021. I bought a Chromebook in July 2021. Of course, the machine can be used after this date, but operational and safety problems may arise. My advice to EVERYONE who buys a refurbished or used Chromebook (regardless of manufacturer): check the remaining lifetime of updates for this device. I returned the car immediately and received a full refund. (Then I bought a new Windows 10S Home PC for about double the price of a Chromebook β€” do the math.)
