Don't get me wrong if you know what you are getting or how to add some audio post processing then this mic is great for the price. Personally, I bought this mic for a couple of older office workers who wanted to use their computers for online meetings and needed something better than the built-in mics. The instructions said you had to be 6 inches from the mic to use it and I can confirm that. The microphone doesn't pick up your voice well enough when it's close to the screen. You have to hold it between your hands right in front of you to be loud enough. In the Windows Control Panel it was at full volume. but obviously cheaper. It's not really a question of price. He is holding a microphone. He doesn't wobble. He's doing his job. Overall I gave it 3 stars because it can be used by some people but not me at the moment and also for the price I would give it 5 stars the only problem is the hum. If they could take that away it would be the perfect product at this price point. Then the range problem can also be solved by turning up the volume in the software you are using and it shouldn't be that narrow. But even that doesn't seem like much.
