Review on TV box Apple TV 4K 64GB, black by Hideo Masuda ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not the best quality, but generally not bad.

For the last 2 years, I switched to Apple, iPhone, Macbook and now Apple TV 4k. And if the previous purchases brought great joy from the intuitive interface, ease of use, and so on. But the Apple TV is a disappointment to say the least. Although I would like to be much more categorical. To begin with, I compare it with the work of the software built into the LG OLEDB7V TV and its Magic remote control. The set-top box is connected by a gigabit cable to a router with a speed of 200 mb. 1) Interface and remote. It's terrible and illogical. Do you want to scroll through the included series to the right moment? Click on the remote control with scrolling for 10 seconds, while it constantly freezes and throws back, there are no other options. The remote touch is extremely responsive to the slightest action and this constantly leads to unnecessary actions. Scrolling, switching to the next track, you need to move along the wheel in the opposite direction from the same switch on the phone, why did you do that ?! 2) Apple tv + watching the series there is no button to skip the intro at the beginning of the series, there is no button to go directly to the next series. ALL THIS is in Netflix, why not repeat after them ?! In total, in order to quickly switch from the series that you finished watching, you need to return to the menu and then select the next series, and scroll through the splash screen and what happened in the previous one in the next series. 3) Netflix - an interface without the ability to see the presence of translation or subtitles before viewing. You should definitely start watching the series. 4) Performance - it is low, slightly better than the built-in one. When scrolling hangs, rolls back. In the application, Netflix slows down when switching content. 5)Airdrop. Compare with transferring video from Macbook directly to TV via wifi from Elmedia player. Airdrop is a long transfer, series are not switched, and the quality is much lower than direct transmission via wifi. The second screen is the same, a very long delay. Bottom line: If you want to watch apple tv +, photos and videos from an iPhone - buy it, as the set-top box itself, this thing plays lg built-in hi-end TVs to set-top boxes or xbox consoles.

Pros
  • -appearance - ease of setup -Integration with other Apple devices -possibility of control from the phone -dolby vision, hdr, dolby atmos, etc. -apple tv+
Cons
  • -performance -Ease of use -airdrop -interface - slows down netflix and the interface is terrible. -no 4k on youtube - you need to buy a cable for 4-5 thousand (but this is more of a nitpick), they could make a more expensive package with a cable.
