It ruined my car's paintwork

I used these on the door edges of my wife's Subaru Forester about two months ago. They stay in place, are easy to install and look great. I would buy them again without hesitation. Update: November 2021 I've had this trim on my car for over a year now. The glue couldn't stand the summer heat. It began to melt and ooze black out of the fairing. It looked terrible. When I took it off I noticed it had tarnished on my car. Now I have no choice but to replace it with another overlay to hide the faded color. Next time I won't buy a finish that uses glue - there are plenty of those.
