I don't know what you mean by transparency or thickness but I'll tell you it's a bulkier connector than the original. It doesn't fit snugly in an outlet, and leaving it plugged into a port on a computer is a problem. It charges the computer which is why I gave it so many stars. But if I could do more research I wouldn't choose it for my Acer Swift laptop. The connection to the computer port is too small for the computer.
