Review on 🕹️ GeeekPi NESPi 4 Case - Raspberry Pi 4 Case with Safe Shutdown, Reset & SSD Storage, Cooling Fan, and Heatsinks - for Raspberry Pi 4 Model B by Giles Lacoste

This is the second version of this case. You can easily see that the front USB ports are USB 2.0 while the original version has one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port. The second version is cheaper in two senses, with a smaller heatsink solution and no front USB 3.0 port, but also cheaper. I think it's a good compromise if you're using this as a retropie. But the main reason I got it was to get a USB to SATA board and transplant it into my version 1 case because the original version uses a JMicron controller chip while the new version uses a ASMedia controller used. I had many problems with JMicron disconnecting and freezing. This seems to be an issue I'm seeing other people on the web with Raspberry Pi and/or Linux. So far, the ASMedia controller included in this version has worked much better. I was hoping I could just mount the entire top half of the case onto my old case, but they changed the plastic molding of this new version with longer bolts. to fill the gap created by the lack of a large heatsink in this new version. So instead I had to disassemble the case to swap out the SATA card itself. Now the SATA drive doesn't disconnect while it's running and I'm so happy everything is working.
