The plus points of this design are thick, stretchy fleece, long neck and protection on all 4 legs. As the name suggests, it is ideal for short-haired dogs in cold weather. This is a stretch I consider a pro as all I had was a dog hair failure when the zipper or velcro didn't work. I would give this coat 5 stars except for 2 issues.1. The dimensional grid is wrong, it came out much smaller. I ordered a size that was supposed to be a few inches larger in chest and length (my dog has a big neck so I took the size that fit her neck, thinking I could get the larger sizes) but somewhat tightly tightened through the body. . I sew (including made-to-measure patterns) so I know I've lost weight correctly. Actual measurements are 2-4 inches smaller than the chart. the fabric is stretchy so I can put it on her, but the back is a few inches shorter than the base of her cock (making him look like a weird backless guy). The belly is not covered at all. My dog has a short coat but almost no hair on his stomach and this hair ends before it reaches his chest. Even if the size was not small, it would not cover the stomach. I was able to add a belly panel, but not everyone has the same fleece color or sewing skills to add it. You would think that with a design that covers the legs and neck, the tummy isn't left open. I understand you can't cover the whole tummy without having a different design for males and females (and why not?) to prevent boys from urinating on them, but you could cover the tummy. Happy to find a dog coat that actually covers more than the back, just wish it had an accurate sizing chart and belly coverage. I'm amazed that it's so hard to find a dog coat on your legs, many parts of the world have cold winters (it would be like a winter coat for humans, just as a vest).
