Seasoned the same day I received it, used the next day. I was a bit disappointed that there was some rust on the press after the first use and cleaning. Not enough to justify sending him back but surprised he was there from the start. Otherwise I would have given a higher rating. Fits perfectly in my iron pan, strong and heavy. The email I received for verification said the company was a small US company, but the packaging clearly said the product was made in Taiwan and only distributed by a company in New Jersey . Not that it matters, I just found it odd.
