update: the second pair is slightly darker. My daughter wasn't thrilled but she got through it and still loves it. We are now almost a month old and the second pair seems to be doing well. Original Review: We LOVE these headphones overall. Although they are too big for my 4 year old, she looks adorable and her ears/neck stay warm. We get sooooo many compliments on her. Unfortunately, after only two weeks, the plastic pillar on one ear broke and I'm not sure if I can fix it. She's not being rude to them or anything - maybe she was screwing them in the wrong way? (She's only 4 so I think it's possible). I will order another pair because we love them so much. Hopefully we'll have better luck. If not I will update the rating.
