I bought this product because I posted the product on Facebook with the promise of a full refund and keeping the product if I give a 5 star rating. The Meshforce system was easy to set up with an app I downloaded from the Android Play Store. The firmware was updated immediately and I adjusted the system settings to my needs. The system settings did not allow separate dual-band network settings with different names for 2.4 or 5 GHz designations. The network only assigns a name and then automatically places your device in the appropriate area. The Meshforce system quietly shifted my phone from one node to another as I move from one area to another. The frustrating thing I found was that when I moved to a closer node, my phone switched to the slower 2.4GHz band. I know this by doing a speed test in every area I've ridden. It would only get me up to the faster 5GHz speed if I turned off Wi-Fi on my phone and then turned it back on. The speed test showed faster downloads after reconnecting. I tested the extended network in a detached garage and got very good speeds and excellent signal strength. Where my Netgear AC3100 router used to provide uneven coverage over the same distance. But I ran into a very unacceptable problem. My main TV is about 15 feet from the main host which is connected to the modem. My phone showed high speed and excellent signal strength in the speed test. But the big problem was that I was buffering while streaming on my Firestick. This happened when trying to play a video on Youtube, Hulu or Netflix. I went back to my Netgear router and of course no buffering. I reinstalled Meshforce and buffering reappeared. I emailed Meshforce and they responded with suggestions. A few tips that are recommended to change the system settings. I already have the recommended settings. But what annoyed me is that they told me to change the settings and then turn off the routers for 5-10 minutes to let the motherboards cool down before turning them back on. So far I have not had to do this with any of my routers. Personally, I could give 5 stars and give this system away for free with compensation from the manufacturer. I'm really disappointed with it and had to send it back. Maybe a future firmware update will help, but I don't want to wait and find out. I will be using my Netgear AC3100 router.
