I'm so glad it came with tools but unfortunately no instructions. But with the help of tools I was able to figure out how to remove the old straps. Please note that you do not need to remove any screws or use a screwdriver. Since I had a screwdriver I figured the first thing to do was to remove the screws - NO! Do not loosen the screws. The screws are for aesthetics only. But another tool is very helpful and I was able to remove the strap using the end that looks like a U to hold the bar so you can remove the strap one side at a time. I also suggest not using the buckle that comes with the kit. Reuse the original as the metal is thicker and stronger and bears the logo. Use a pointed tool to pry out the buckle. In fact, I also used the original sticks. Use all original parts if they are still in good condition as I read in another review that the rod that comes with the kit breaks easily. If there were instructions it would be easy to install and swapping out would be a breeze. But I hope my guide will help you. And if so, give it a thumbs up 👍
