If you're looking for a soft, minimalist shoe without the kids' price tag, this is a good substitute. They're faux leather rather than natural leather, so feet sweat more than real shoes, but socks are fine. The insoles move a lot, so we ended up just taking them out. They are still comfortable and well suited for toddlers' first shoes. We love sticks and these are quality shoes but not worth it when the baby outgrows the stuff every three months! These lidanos are a great sub!
