The brightness of the light at this level perfectly matches the color and size of the bottle. It's a solid piece of aluminum that's been machined fairly decently. The magnets are strong enough to hold the level's weight on any flat magnetic surface, wet or dry. The light will turn off automatically after three minutes unless you turn it off manually with the button. The battery compartment isn't waterproof and drains (2) AAA batteries fairly quickly, which might be the only real downside. An improved battery cover with a strong seal would make this level the best lighted torpedo on the market.
