Saved our vacation good for camping and hiking

We were planning a trip to stay at a friend's house but they only had a guest room. We discussed whether our elementary school kids would sleep in the guest room and share a queen bed while we stayed downstairs on the living room sofa. We were very concerned that our youngest son would turn on his brother, fall on him while he was sleeping, or even keep him up all night. We also didn't like the idea of sleeping in the downstairs living area, having the first person wake us up every morning and not being able to sleep until everyone else has gone to bed. We bought these cribs because we thought we'd give them a try and at least have some extra sleeping options for people and hopefully at least take turns sleeping. The first night we got there I opened the package. The bags with the bed parts were quite heavy, but I was able to carry them individually. I could probably assemble the beds without instructions but I think it would take longer. They fitted fairly easily and I was able to assemble them myself. They took up less space than a double bed and were about waist height. I was able to place it against one of the walls in the guest room and still have room to move around the room. My sons slept in cribs and my partner and I slept in beds and to my surprise and delight everything worked out beautifully. My sons slept very well, sometimes even falling asleep later than us adults. They had separate dormitories and even pocket organizers for books, stuffed animals, bottled water and toiletries. We were all comfortably accommodated in one room and the sons had their own places. When our vacation was over, we simply took the cribs down and packed them up. They fit perfectly in their tote bags and fit into our car without much difficulty. They also happened to come in very handy when we stopped at the hotel for the night. We usually get a room with 2 double beds but we had some misunderstandings and accidentally booked a king room and didn't have any available doubles to switch to. My husband told my son when he checked in that he would be sleeping in a crib. The receptionist said she thought they had no vacancies. Don't worry, we have our own cot! We were able to bring them in and set them up with ease and everyone slept comfortably in the King Room. They have worked great for us and we look forward to using them for camping, road trips, living with grandparents, entertaining visitors and all sorts of situations.
