We used it for lighting on our porch. This is the length of our porch and lights it up very well. Looks great from the street. Fun lights with many color options. The remote works well when pointed at the sensor (even through a window). We change the colors for each holiday to make it fun and use the color rotation setting on more festive days. The only real problem is that the AC adapter isn't working. It seems to have enough juice to keep the lights as bright at the end as the lights at the beginning. Other reviewers have suggested upgrading the power supply. We didn't use the built in tape on the back as it ran on the outside, so we used little rubber mounts along the full length of the cord to keep it in place in all weathers. outside under the porch until we decided to take it down to paint and get other lights.
