I originally bought these for my wife to put in her car so she would have a mount for her iPhone. If your automatic shifter and cigarette lighter plug are in the middle of the car then forget it, it won't fit. So I moved it to my van where the loose change was on the collar no problem it fits. Another thing is to force it to stay connected to the port so that it maintains a continuous charge. Even if you tighten the part that goes into the cigarette lighter port all the way, it still finds a way to get out and you have to keep pushing it in. Another issue is fitting the mounts to your phone. I have a Note 2 so obviously it's a lot bigger than an iPhone so I had to adjust the mounts for my phone. I've pressed the button on the side dozens of times to lengthen the mounts and it only worked about every 12th time to lengthen the mount a notch. You can't just pull the shackle out either, you have to put external pressure on the shackle and push the button like crazy until it clicks and hope it keeps the traction to pull it where you need it. The best thing about this product is the USB port, which works great when the charger is actually flush enough to hold a charge. Oh, and don't try to put that other regular car charger that you get with the phone in the extra space as it won't stay. If you buy one of those little USB chargers that plugs into a slot like that, it might stick, I don't know, but it's up to you to decide whether or not to take the call. I'm giving it two because I don't hate it, if the product worked I'd love it but it doesn't and I don't even think it's worth sending it back for a new one or a refund. They took me for a few bucks, not the first time and probably not the last.
