My w1070 finally died after 3800 hours. I was thinking about buying a new projector, not just a new lightbulb. I found this light bulb with case for about $57 and went after that. It works well, but I haven't noticed much improvement over my old lightbulb. brighter - it takes longer to heat up. My screen was already brighter when loading the picture and before I started netflix. Now it dims for a few minutes to see anything. - Colors are good. I didn't notice a big color cast in the picture. Looking back, I could have just bought a lightbulb and swapped it out in the case. I disassembled the old case and it's not as difficult as I thought.
