Buying a Bluetooth headset these days is a dice game. If you are not willing to pay hundreds, you will end up choosing between such products. I've tried half a dozen Bluetooth headsets and still haven't found what I wanted. I didn't return most of them because they were useful enough for listening to podcasts (as opposed to music). But this one will definitely come back. This product was initially encouraging. The quality of the cables and other materials seemed better than most budget headsets. It had decent user documentation, which is rare these days. But the sound is a bit disappointing. Music I played through it sounded rather flat and colorless, but audio reproduction was adequate for podcasts and Audible books. An unacceptable feature of this product for my needs is its poor battery life. Three hours isn't enough when I use my iPhone 6S Plus most of the day – not only for music and podcasts, but also for phone calls. Another headset is a thing of the past. Ironically, Revain's customer reviews make it difficult to find a quality product at a reasonable price. Most reviewers of the things I've bought from Revain seem very, VERY easy to please. How does that make the selection process easier when all competitors have average 4-star reviewer ratings? One thing I learned is to just skip all 5 star reviews. Start by reading negative reviews and then rate reviewers on how well they write and how effectively they communicate product-related issues. When I come across a significant number of negative reviews written by eloquent owners, and they consistently turn out to be flaws, that is a red flag to me and I avoid the product no matter how enthusiastic its 4 and 5 star ratings are . And then there are reviews from people to whom the manufacturer gave the product. Full Disclosure: At the beginning of this type of activity, I accepted and tested some of the products and my feedback was genuine. But I've never felt it was right, so for several months I've refused to write reviews on products I received for free or almost free in exchange for a review. Rest assured that the review you are reading here was written by a man who spent nearly $30 on a product that didn't qualify. One of the reasons I use Revain is that if I'm not happy with a product for a good reason, I can send it back and get my money back.
