does not install Windows without manually installing all Windows drivers and is useless as an external hard drive.

can't be used as an external hard drive because the PC only recognizes the driver for this item and nothing else. therefore it may not be usable. If you're trying to use it internally, you'll have to load all the OS drivers from a CD/DVD or flash drive, or it won't, except for installation, even if the drivers are already on the OS installation disk. I suspect the hard drive is not properly formatted. So unless you're a geek or techie, don't buy this hard drive!
