I was looking for a player that can play karaoke CD-G discs. Plays great on them! The remote control is easy to use, making navigating the disc super easy - you can even just type in the track number while the disc is playing. Asking price: wow. For the price of this player you can hardly buy a small pack of CD-Gs on ebay. Let's hope it stays that way! It seems to follow the CD-G standard correctly as it plays all the discs I have with no glitches (except for what is typical for this type of disc as the graphics don't correct errors). Image quality wasn't exactly perfect, but most people won't notice it. There are only some minor artefacts from upscaler to HDMI. Main downside: I found the mic port to be a bit under-gain as it's pretty quiet at full mic volume. I think a little more amplification is needed to take full advantage of it. I have a mixer that I could hook up, but that really defeats the purpose. As for the price, I mostly forgive this shortcoming.
