New PCs should have dust caps on all rarely used ports to solve this problem. I mainly wanted it to cover the unused VGA and DVI ports since I use my monitor's HDMI port, but I needed a second set for the monitor as there is only one of each. I also needed RCA caps for my current VHS-to-Digital project, but strangely there are only two in the kit while RCA ports usually have three plugs (yellow, red, white). With the exception of the hard plastic USB connector, they are all made of soft rubber, making them easy to remove with a fingernail, and some are thicker for easier removal.
