Review on Muc Off Rainproof Essentials Case by Eric Dailey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits flat kit, fits in jersey pocket

I use the Muc Off case for flat kit which has 25mm hoses, levers, a 16g CO2 cartridge, inflation valve/cartridge and includes mini tool (as shown in the figure). I could fit the 28mm hose if I swapped out the mini tool for a smaller, more compact tool. The Muc Off Case is almost the same as the Rapha Essentials Large Case, both listed with the same measurements (but $10 cheaper than the Rapha with no color options). The Muc Off case may look slightly larger in the photos because it has been reversed, but I have a feeling the Rapha Essentials large case is 0.5mm wider, which may be due to Rapha stretching / breaks after using it all season. This case can also store an iPhone XS (5.8 inch screen) with slim case, ID, credit cards, cash, house keys and a small pocket knife. I actually have a second Rapha case for this purpose and this Muc remote case will work well for the same purpose. A much larger phone or a much bulkier case will not fit in. In this case, the case fits perfectly in the back pocket of my cycling jersey. I recommend a waterproof case like this as sweat and electricity can be easily wiped off after a ride.
