A busy mother of three here and I needed a life jacket for my 7 year old autistic son. My son is a big boy for his age and wears 10/12 clothes. I had high expectations for this life jacket, but that didn't mean minimum expectations. The top buckle has some slack to tighten the strap (for a tighter fit). The jacket went up to his ears while he was swimming. This happened every time he swam in it, to the point where I was concerned he might slip out from under it. We didn't want to risk it so we decided to buy another jacket elsewhere.
