Review on Everlast Elite Style Training Gloves by Matthew Peterson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not Elite and not Pro. - Training gloves

Use these gloves for several months to work with a heavy bag. These are good gloves for a beginner or someone who is not a heavy puncher. The padding is very soft, with an aggressive hit on a heavy bag there is almost no protection. The design of the glove almost pushes your hand forward, causing your punches to land with a slight bend at the wrist. I had to take this into account and force the arm to straighten when I hit the bag hard. Another thing I really disliked about these gloves was that there was too much room inside the glove which caused your hand to move inside the glove on impact. I wrap a full 180 Mexican style bandage and even add sports tape in front of the bandage to try and fill the gap in the glove. In general, this is not an "elite" or "professional" glove. They are still there but will only be a backup pair.

Pros
  • Sport gloves
Cons
  • Ok
