Will not fit a 6" AOS caliper (probably the most popular Mit caliper). There is quite a bit of clearance left, at least 5mm, the I think to loosen the screw at the end of the caliper.Although the thumbscrew holds the caliper securely it makes you wonder if you really installed it correctly and securely. The calipers are absolutely perfect. The iGaging depth gauge is smaller but always still slightly larger than the Mit. 6"AOS caliper so in theory it should fit, but the engagement is terrible so I bought the base from MIT thinking the setup would be perfect. OK.
