This did not work properly in VM 5100. It looks like the required bobbin case, but it doesn't spin smoothly and causes tension issues. I compared it to the bobbin case I had on the machine and it turned out to be medium sized. I thought it was a problem with my sewing machine but I bought another case from a Brother store in town and now my sewing machine sews perfectly. The bobbin case I bought in town looks different too.
