I have a Dell 1545 with a CCFL screen and of course the CCFL screen had to be expensive. Searching the web I found that by replacing the original screen cable with an R267J cable (which I bought right here on Amazon) I could replace my screen with a cheaper LED screen. I'm no expert on these things, but luckily I found a video showing how to swap out the screen and a video showing how to disassemble the laptop as a whole. Note: the cable is located under the keyboard (for those of you like me). I have to say that finding/watching the video took longer than actually changing it, but I didn't want to take any chances. The screen itself is PERFECT and looks way better and brighter than the original screen. As far as I could see there are no dead pixels. So I'm happy (especially my bags) with the purchase of this screen! And the packaging was great. Let's just say it was shipped to Miami and from there to the Dominican Republic and it was undamaged. Note: My laptop is PP41L.
