Don't buy hedgehog food. It's nutritionally deficient and my hedgehog wouldn't even eat it. A local breeder who has done a lot of research claims that in most cases commercial hedgehog chow is not only low in nutrients, but often contains too much phosphorus, which can lead to hyperphosphatemia. This can interfere with calcium absorption and lead to bone loss and kidney damage. If you feed your worms mealy sea urchins, they are already getting a lot of phosphorus and you want to limit their phosphorus intake from other sources. I will not buy this hedgehog food again as the quality is poor and the nutritional content is mediocre at best.
