This is my GO TO Tri/Mono pod not only for my Sony 4K camcorder but also for my regular Canon camera. It stands fairly well at three feet when folded, even when extended, and stretches to a very good length. The quality is excellent too, just what you would expect from Manfrotto. The clasps are also adjustable and the top spring-loaded rivet fits a variety of devices. I often use it for free video because although my Sony FDR-AX53 has excellent video stabilization, there can still be whirling motion in the image and using Manfrotto almost completely eliminates this. Since I bought this Manfrotto monopod, I have rarely touched my large, heavy Velbon SX-681K video tripod with Vel-Flo 10 head, PH-268R liquid damping. I couldn't be happier with Manfrotto. It is very versatile in its usefulness and its quality is excellent. I would definitely buy it again and can only recommend it.
